PICU
The
PICU rotation aims at providing the residents at the PL-2 and PL-3
levels with experience in caring for a wide variety of critically
ill children. Additionally, the exposure to the sophisticated
medical technology, the difficult medical and ethical decisions,
and the psychosocial dilemmas of the ICU will make the pediatrician
ultimately able to take a more active role assisting the tertiary
attendings in the care of his or her own critically ill patients
both during and after their PICU stay.
