Endocrine Elective

The resident will be in the office 5 hours per day Monday through Friday.  They will see new consultations and old patients in the practice with interesting endocrine disorders.  After the resident sees the patient, he will discuss the case with the attending and be involved with the discussion with the patient and/or family.  The ½ day the resident is not in the office seeing patients, he will be available to do inpatient consultations and have library time to work on an endocrine topic.  The inpatient consultation will be performed first by the resident, who will then report verbally to the attending and in writing on the consultation form in the patient's chart.  The attending and resident will then seen the patient together and the case will be discussed further.

Directions:  From Fairfax Hospital, turn left unto Gallows Rd., then turn left onto Route 50 (west).  At second stoplight, turn right onto Javier Rd., then make an immediate left onto Arlington Blvd.  Make the next left onto Hamaker Ct to the end of the cul-de-sac.

Hints & Expectations:
This is primarily an outpatient elective.  You may accompany Dr. Link or Dr. Mason if there are hospital consults or if any of their patients are in the hospital.
