Student Health Center
As
a second year resident he (she) will spend a one-month block rotation
at the campus infirmary of the University of Maryland at College
Park. This health care facility provides services for a student
population of over 32,000. This is a comprehensive facility,
run by adolescent specialists, that provides both primary and secondary
care services.

Directions:From
495/94 (Beltway), take exit 25-S (Route 1). Proceed approximately
1.5 miles South on Rte. 1 Turn right onto Campus Drive.
Proceed halfway around the circle as you continue on Campus Dr.
At the third stop sign, you will see the Health Center on your left
and the Stamp Student Union on your right. Make a right turn and
park in Parking Garage 1 (metered parking is $0.25 per 30mins).
If you have a parking permit for Lot 1, continue past the Health
center and Student Union bearing right at the Y. Straight-ahead
will be large parking lots. Park in any area labeled "1".
Hints & Expectations:
Park in the lot across the street from the Health Center on the
first day until you get your parking tag, then move your car --
otherwise it is quite expensive.
At the end of the month, you will be required to give a one hour
presentation on a subject matter/diagnosis you have handled.
You will get a schedule on the first day that tells you where to
be and when (including a walk-in area, regular scheduled appointments,
and women's health).
Bring lunch, or walk across the street to the Student Union for
food.
